We are almost sold out of all the pawpaw scion wood we have (36 hours after opening the site on 1/1/25). We have started a waiting list for scionwood. You can also ask to be put on a notification list for when the scion wood opens for orders by emailing kathy@redfernfarm.com.

We offer high quality scion wood for grafting at $6/stick (8 inches) for pawpaw scionwood. Quantities of some varieties are limited. Scion wood will be carefully labeled and shipped early spring, mid-March to early April depending on Spring weather. Call or email for clarification about shipping times. Halvin–Medium to large fruit, excellent flavor, early ripening, from SW Iowa, near the NW limit of the pawpaw’s native range.
Iowa Golden-Heavy bearing of large fruit with excellent flavor.  Strong color break at ripening.  Unusually even ripening time–most of the fruit ripens in just a few days.
Marias Joy – Excellent variety bred by Jerry Lehman, heavy bearing, fine flavor.

Sundog–Seedling of a wild Iowa tree with small to medium fruit, excellent flavor, early ripening, and definitely self-fertile.  This is one to plant if you only have room for one tree.
Sunflower–Old selection from Kansas with large, low-seed fruit, excellent flavor.  Late-ripening and may be self-fruitful.
Taytwo—Medium fruit, heavy bearing, seedy, excellent flavor, early season.
